An Ebenezer moment
Remembering God's Faithfulness
In 1 Samuel 7, after a time of repentance and renewal, the Israelites were attacked by the Philistines. God gave them a great victory, and Samuel set up a stone as a memorial, calling it Ebenezer - "stone of help, "saying, "Hitherto hath the LORD helped us." (1 Samuel 7:12)Our new building stands beside us as a visible reminder of God's provision. We are not a large congregation, nor are we a congregation of unlimited resources and yet, look what God has done.
On October 11, we will pause as a Chapel family to say together: God has brought us this far, and we give Him the glory. We continue to look to Him for the days ahead, trusting that the God who has faithfully led and provided will finish what He has started.
